Lenders could deny anyone based on race, religion, or ethnicity, regardless of financial qualifications.

All legal grounds for denial... and all reasons entire communities were shut out of building wealth.

Sometimes they come from a trusted agent friend who needs help selling a family home quietly, without the stress of showings and going live online. Those moments are always a little bittersweet. Letting go of a family home isn’t easy.

But it also becomes a really happy day for the investors who get the opportunity to step in and start the next chapter there.

This photo tells a whole story 💕 It recently resurfaced and we had it enhanced.

Here they are traveling through Italy on a motorcycle on their honeymoon after WWII.
My grandparents were just 21 and 23 living in post war Holland (Netherlands).
He had just finished service in the Royal Dutch Airforce.

With one baby and another on the way, they crossed the ocean to America believing in something more 🇺🇸

They landed in Boston.
They were welcomed.
They found opportunity.
They worked hard.
They built a future.
They made their way to Maine.
They raised a family.

Two generations later, their courage still shapes my life 🤍 🇺🇸✨
Because they had the audacity to believe, I get to live the life they dreamed of ✨

So grateful for Thea and Kees. 🤍
