“A Law repugnant to the Constitution is void.” Marbury v. Madison

If you are interested in legal history, here's Marbury v. Madison. In 1803, the U.S. Supreme Court issued an opinion, Marbury v. Madison, which established that the U.S. Supreme Court has the final say as to the meaning of the U.S. Constitution. Here is information on the decision that established this legal precedence.
