Attorney Cote successfully challenged the court's lack of personal jurisdiction over an out-of-state defendant, resulting in the dismissal of a civil case and the denial of the plaintiff's motion for jurisdictional discovery. 🎊

Based on Attorney Cote's thorough research and persuasive oral advocacy, the court ruled in favor of her client, holding that advertising on an out-of-state television station or streaming service, inadvertently directed to Massachusetts residents from outside the Commonwealth, and reviews by Massachusetts residents on the defendant's website, do not establish the minimum contacts necessary for jurisdiction in Massachusetts courts. ⚖️

Our Worcester law office is seeking a part-time office assistant to handle answering phones, copying, filing, faxing, scanning, e-mailing, data entry, running errands, filing documents at the courthouse and registry of deeds, and other organizational tasks.

Hours are flexible.

Applicants should possess following qualities:

-Must be punctual and reliable

-Have reliable transportation

-Excellent organizational skills

-Must be computer proficient and know how to use Microsoft Word, Google Workspace, etc.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Detail oriented
