Overnight Commercial Business Check Leads to Aggravated Assault on a Evesham Officer and Eluding
On September 26th at 3:35am, an Evesham Police Officer was conducting a property check of a commercial business when he observed a male slumped over the steering wheel of a Ford F-150.
During the investigation, the male regained consciousness and the officer suspected that the unknown male had operated the vehicle under the influence of illegal drugs. The male suspect became combative, refusing to exit the vehicle and fled the scene in the motor vehicle. While fleeing the scene, the male’s vehicle struck the Evesham Police Officer. The male suspect led officer(s) on a pursuit, operating his vehicle in a reckless manner, while putting innocent motorist in danger. The pursuit ended when the vehicle became disabled in the area of Kettering Court in Evesham Township and the male fled the scene. Subsequently it was learned the vehicle was reported stolen out of Bristol, PA.
A large perimeter was established by Evesham Officers and surrounding jurisdictions. The NJSP Aviation Unit also responded and assisted with the search, however the male suspect was not located. Officers remained in the area throughout the day.
Suspect Description: White male, approximately 30-40 years of age, white t-shirt with blood stain on abdomen, shorts and yellow flip flops. Male had a black beard and was wearing a black wool hat with a tag still attached. The male suspect has distinct tattoos:
-Right inside forearm – flowers (dark ink - no color)
-Left shoulder – Heart with word Olivia inside it (Color Tattoo)

The officer suffered minor injuries when he was struck by the vehicle and was treated on scene by Evesham Fire-Rescue personnel.
