Had the opportunity to spend some time with Judge Tanya Wilson, and it was great hearing her perspective on transitioning to the civil bench. While her background has primarily been in criminal law, she is genuinely excited about this new chapter and shared how much she is enjoying civil work so far.

What stood out most was her mindset — always treating others the way you would want to be treated. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and approachable, and I truly believe she is going to be an outstanding civil judge.

Last week, Jed had the honor of attending the ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates) Meet & Greet Dinner with new and old members of the local chapter.

ABOTA is an invitation-only organization made up of experienced plaintiff and defense trial lawyers and judges dedicated to preserving the civil jury trial system and promoting professionalism, ethics, and excellence in advocacy. Membership is earned through substantial trial experience and peer recognition — it is not something handed out lightly.

It was a great evening spent connecting with respected trial attorneys who are committed to protecting the right to a jury trial.
