Dear Facebook Friends,

I have decided to close my law office. I want to thank everyone for all they did for me over the past 31 years. I am extremely proud of what I accomplished as a criminal and traffic defense lawyer and truly enjoyed what I did.

I have already sold the building my office is located in and I helped my wonderful paralegal, Jessica, find a good job. I am no longer accepting new cases. My goal is to clear out existing cases and close my practice by March 31st.

I do not have another job yet, but will eventually look for positions in the corporate, non-profit, or university fields. Please let me know of any job opportunities you think I might be interested in.

I have accomplished all I set out to do as a criminal defense lawyer and business owner and had a lot of fun along the way. I am fortunate to be in excellent health and debt-free. I am leaving the private practice of law at the top of my game.

Again, thank you to everyone for all of your kindness and support over the years. On to my next adventure!

Today is my 30 year work anniversary! Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible. I am truly grateful for all of you.

Today is the 25th anniversary of my practicing law. I am so grateful to everyone, living and deceased, who made this journey possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my family members, to my former employer Larry Eubanks and his wife Debbie, to judges, prosecutors, fellow attorneys, courthouse personnel, law enforcement officers, current and former employees, clients, friends, and anyone else I have forgotten to mention. It's been a wonderful and rewarding journey. Thank you all!

Hey, everyone, there is a new North Carolina law that makes it easier for people get things erased or expunged from their criminal record.

If you or someone you know has ever been accused of something in court and a prosecutor dismissed the charge or a judge said not guilty, or if you or someone you know has been found guilty of a non-violent felony or misdemeanor and it has been at least 5 years from the conviction date, you MAY be eligible to have the charges erased from your criminal record. Please note that this does not apply to speeding tickets and other minor traffic offenses. What I am talking about might apply EVEN IF you have already had something erased from your record in the past.

If any of this may apply to you or someone you know and the charges occurred in Forsyth, Davidson, or Davie Counties in North Carolina, please call my office at 336-803-7431 for a free analysis to see if you qualify for an expungement. Please call my office instead of posting I am often in court and not able to quickly check my Facebook messages.
