💧 **WATER RIGHTS IN TEXAS: DID YOU KNOW?**
When buying or selling property in the Texas Hill Country, there's more to consider than what's happening above ground!
As of July 1, 2026, Texas introduced a new *Seller's Disclosure About Groundwater and Surface Water Rights* (TREC Form 61-0).
So what does that mean for homeowners?
The form asks sellers about things like:
💧 Water wells, including those no longer in use
💧 Whether the property is located in a groundwater conservation district
💧 Ponds, lakes, and water tanks on the property
💧 Groundwater rights that may have been sold, leased, or separated from the land
Not every real estate transaction requires this separate disclosure, but knowing the water situation is especially important here in Wimberley and the surrounding Hill Country.
**Because in the Hill Country, understanding your property means knowing what's beneath the surface, too!** 🌿
Questions about buying or selling property in Wimberley? I'm always happy to help!
