Kate was feeling all the feels at this morning's Twilight Wish Foundation fundraising breakfast at Meadowcrest at Middletown! It was great to hear from local leadership and meet the nonprofit's new CEO.

Our current receptionist is staying with us, but cutting back her hours a bit, so we are hiring for the right person to job share as a part-time receptionist.

The ideal candidate is looking for somewhere between 8-24 hours per week and must be able to work Mondays. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, but we have plenty of flexibility for the right person.

People aged 65 and older often suffer more severe heat stress than younger people. With continued soaring temperatures, it’s important to take a minute to consider safety in the heat.

Heat Stress typically manifests in two ways:
1. The first and most serious is Heat Stroke. This occurs when the body becomes unable to control its temperature. The body’s temperature rises rapidly, the body loses its ability to sweat and is unable to cool down.
2. Heat Exhaustion is a milder form of heat-related illness that develops after several days of exposure to high temperature and inadequate replacement of fluids.

Please take steps to keep the older folks in your life cool and safe this summer! 😎
