Our hearts are broken at the devastating floods caused by Hurricane Helene. As the sun rises and the full extent of damage becomes known, many of the places, buildings, and trails that we’ve known will be damaged or gone; but one thing I know is the people of Western NC, East TN, and upstate SC are resilient and will pull together to help each other and help rebuild their communities.
We have so many clients in the affected areas and we will stand ready to help in any way we can, when you’re ready.

Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. This month we celebrate trailblazers who fought and continue to fight for equality and inclusion. In addition we can thank these Hispanic heroes for these inventions!

Color television:
Guillermo González Camarena, a Mexican electrical engineer, patented the chromoscopic adapter, which allowed black-and-white cameras to capture color images. NASA still uses his color television today.

Artificial heart:
Domingo Liotta pioneered heart surgery with the world's first artificial heart.

Contraceptive pill:
Mexican chemist Luis E Mexican chemist Luis E. Miramontes co-invented the first oral contraceptive pill in 1956.

Electric brake
Victor Ochoa, a Mexican inventor, patented the electric brake in 1907.

CAPTCHA
Luis von Ahn, a Guatemalan computer scientist, co-created CAPTCHA, which helped companies thwart bots.

The world as we knew it changed the morning of September 11, 2001. Today we pause to honor the memory of every victim and their families, the heroes who died that day saving lives and their families, as well as all the heroes and responders, port authorities, and any individual still being impacted by the tragic events of that day.
Let us keep them in our memories and never forget.
