Property fraud is a growing problem where 🕵🏼♀️ scammers illegally transfer property ownership without your permission. This can be a real headache for homeowners, but there's good news!
The Williams County Treasurer/Recorder's Office rolled out a fantastic 🆓 service to keep you in the loop.
You’ll get a heads-up via email 📩 whenever something gets added under your name or property ID number, so you can catch those shady shenanigans before they get too far!
Here’s how you can join the ranks of vigilant property owners:
1. Sign Up: Head over to www.idocmarket.com to create your free account. ✅
Scroll down to the Document Alerts section and click on "Create An Account".
2. Set Up Alerts 🚨: Once you're logged in, find the "Document Alert Set-up" section. Here, you can customize your alerts using your parcel number or name.
TIP: Make *separate* entries for each version of each name that you want an alert for, for each address, for each legal description. Each entry you make gives you more peace of mind.

I signed myself up last year and it was super simple! Today, I went back in to add an additional alert. Same process, so easy!
