We were so excited to participate in the VA250 - American Revolution 250 Commission quilt making project sponsored by Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce and Visit Williamsburg. Steve Prince - artist in residence at Muscarelle Museum of Art led the fantastic event - giving background and providing a lot of "texture" amazingness.
Of course our own Leslie Magee Skinner had to do something involved with her favorite subject: Williamsburg History ! She made a modern day map of Raccoon's Chase (worship place of First Baptist Church) featuring 2 fox labs 🦊🐶 that live there today (Birdie Mae and Florrie of course). It was such a fun night with all the attendee's doing a square of something meaningful to them as well.

Did you know quilts are heirlooms and should be included in your legacy documents if you want to pass on historical pieces? Call your favorite lawyer if you want to get things changed in your documents to make sure your heirlooms are passed down to your people.

Well we all have an extra hour now. Did you remember to "fall back" any vintage clocks or timers in your house that don't change the time automatically?
All of our favorite clients and friends at the Skinner Law Office now get the opportunity every day to see the beautiful sunsets. We loved seeing the sunset on the water at Jamestown Rediscovery when we were there for an event last month. Check out the view! Wow!

We were so excited to join Leslie this weekend as she accepted the Changemaker Award. The Inner Peace Coalition honored some pretty awesome women who are doing good in our community and we are so proud of them and of course our own Leslie Skinner. She was in excellent company and so were we. Congratulations to all of the awardees and THANK YOU for doing so much good in our community. You all are truly appreciated!

We think a lot about our clients and friends and health. There is so much that can happen health wise as all of our favorite Super Seniors live their fun and exciting lives. It is important to us to here at the Skinner Law Office to make sure we stay on top of ways to help if the unexpected happens.

We also want you to know that because of concerns with aging we also sit on the Discovery Alliance Board of MCV Foundation. We were so excited to learn all about Gut Health and Prostate Issues at the last event this month. Today is National Dessert Day and yum yum - we are definitely dessert fans here at the Skinner Law Office.
As you can tell our nieces don't lack in the yummy dessert taste testing experiences with Uncle Todd!
We have never had them turn down a warm ginger cake from the bakery in Colonial Williamsburg, ice cream in a huge bowl of deliciousness from Kingsmill Resort or sopapilla from our favorite mexican restaurant in town La Terraza Mexican Grill.

What's your favorite dessert in town? Our favorite lawyer is always wanting to add more places to satisfy his sweet tooth - so please share all the details with us.

Thank goodness for all creatures great and small - they are truly blessings to us.
For all of our friends and clients who have Dog or Cat Children in their lives you know what we are talking about here at the Skinner Law Office. We are so lucky to be parents to our Daughter Dogs Florrie and Birdie Mae. This is Florrie at her Blessing of the Animals. Birdie Mae prefers to stay home and we get that - each daughter dog is different and has their own personality.

We know that you may have sweet blessings like this in your own life. Don't forget to include all your sweet blessings in your will or trust so they can be cared for in the manner that matches their personalities.
