🌵 **A PIECE OF WICKENBURG HISTORY…**
Long before **1305 Jack Burden Road** became a private residence, it was part of a story that helped put Wickenburg on the map.
In the 1940s and ’50s, Wickenburg was known as the **“Dude Ranch Capital of the World,”** welcoming visitors from across the country who came west in search of sunshine, horses and the authentic Arizona experience.
One of the ranches at the heart of that era was the **Remuda Dude Ranch**.
Founded by **Jack Burden in 1925**, and later operated with his wife, Sophie, Remuda grew from humble beginnings into a destination accommodating approximately 70 guests at its peak. The ranch featured a main lodge, guest houses, swimming pool, tennis and croquet courts, stables and corrals—and even its own school.
Today, **1305 Jack Burden Road is a reminder of that colorful chapter in Wickenburg’s past.** The home still captures the character of the Southwest with its distinctive block construction, rustic fireplace and setting overlooking the surrounding desert.
And this Saturday, you have the opportunity to step inside and experience it for yourself.
