BE CAREFUL WHEN TALKING TO INSURANCE COMPANIES AFTER YOUR CAR WRECK! Many car wreck lawyer ads talk about not signing anything after your wreck. While that is good advice, you also need to be aware in Kansas if you agree to a settlement, even if you don’t sign anything, that is a verbal contract that often is a binding contract you can’t get out of. If injured after a wreck, don’t agree to settle, especially when you don’t know how much your medical bills total. As an example, if your bills are $30,000, and you get an offer of $2000 and they will pay your bills up to $10,000, you have just settled a case that could be worth $50,000 or more for far less than the real value, and you could get stuck owing money for medical bills. We are extremely knowledgeable in uninsured motorist and underinsured motorist insurance claims when you are injured in a a car wreck. Don’t let an inexperienced lawyer lose part of your recovery! We had a case a few years ago where one of our large competitors missed a claim for underinsured motorist benefits. We were able to correct that to get an additional $50,000 for the injured person after the other firm had closed their file.
