The following five designs are presented as finalists for the next official State of Kansas standard issue license plate. The proposed designs were chosen in part because they align with Kansas Tourism design standards, with law enforcement needs, and with the following guidelines:

County offices statewide are aware of issues regarding this year's heavy truck and trailers renewals recently mailed out from the State of Kansas.

Please review your renewals, check to make sure that you do own the vehicles and that the renewals show the correct weight classes for registration. Incorrect weight classes will reflect an incorrect amount due. Also, be sure that your trailer renewals do NOT include RV tax, as this is also incorrect and will result in a higher and incorrect cost.

-Morning driving route in Wichita to local dealerships and banks.
-One day trip to Topeka weekly and/or bi-weekly

Kansas car title knowledge is helpful but we will train if you are:

Don't buy a car from a private seller who does not have the car title - even if they promise they'll get it to you.

Send them to us, we'll get their duplicate/lost title in a couple days!

The KS Highway Patrol vehicle inspection station on Douglas is closed temporarily.

The Kechi location is open from 9am - 1pm for inspections.

Also, KHP website lists some police departments out of Wichita (but close) that do inspections. We highly recommend calling these departments first.

We're here! And still getting your titles in a couple days.

If you sell your car during "safe at home", and cannot locate your title we'll get it back fast for you!

We only ask that we all follow the 6 foot apart recommendation, and if you're running a fever or are sick to call first.

In light of the Governor’s newest executive orders extending tag renewals and 60 day permits, coupled with the number in a gathering from 50 to 10, the Sedgwick County Treasurer is modifying the operations of the two tag offices to:

• No more than 10 customers are permitted inside either of the the Tag Office’s at any one time.
• Title customers are encouraged to make an appointment for their title work by calling 660-1083 for the Kellogg Office and 660-5169 for the Douglas Office.
• The Qless system will be shut down. This means customers will be seen on a first come, first serve basis. As they wait outside the building, we encourage customers to abide by social distancing on their own.
• Customers are highly encouraged to renew online, by mail, or using the IKan app rather than coming to the Tag Offices.
