The staff and attorneys here at Gibson Watson Marino LLC are celebrating the holiday season by collecting donations for Operation Holiday, run by Humankind charity for homeless and poverty stricken individuals and families.

We are proud to have assisted their mission by collecting 17 new children’s coats and blankets, plus winter accessories, and food and hygiene items.

We greatly appreciate Humankind’s service to the community and for bringing hope and joy to thousands of Wichitans this Christmas season!

Melanie is an Associate Attorney whose primary focus is in the area of Civil Litigation.

When Melanie is not working, she can be found with her husband and three young children taking them to softball, baseball, or family activities in the Wichita area.

GWM is proud of our attorney Richard Samaniego for his receipt of the Wichita Bar Association President’s Award.

This award recognizes the successful accomplishment of a law-related project or service where the recipient’s work substantially exceeds that which is normally expected. The recipients also must demonstrate high ethical standards and hold the respect of his/her peers.

Richard received the award for his efforts as Chair of the WBA Legislative Committee and for being the voice of the WBA before the Kansas Legislature.

The Kansas Association of Defense Counsel presented GWM partner John H. Gibson with the Kahrs Lifetime Achievement Award.

This award is the KADC's highest honor, given only to those individuals with a distinguished legal and public service career.

John was recognized on December 2, during the organization's annual meeting in Kansas City. The award was presented by GWM associate attorney Nolan Wright.
