In a recent KBA article, a wise anonymous attorney once said:

“The Elder Hotline has been a great fit for me for several reasons,” said one of our committed volunteer attorneys. “It allows me to give back to the community on my own schedule from the comfort of my office, free initial consultations are generally a low-stress way to volunteer without a huge time commitment, and although clients have issues in nearly all areas of law, it is a good way to use my estate planning and bankruptcy knowledge to help people with difficult situations. Sometimes a little informal advice can go a long way to steer these clients in the right direction or at least give them some peace of mind.”

They said I was committed! Usually people say I should be committed, but I think they mean it a different way...

It's a true quote, though. Kansas attorneys, it is just one morning or afternoon per month, from your office, taking about 1 hour of low stress phone calls. You can work on other stuff in between the calls, so it is not like you lose the whole four hour time slot. Although it is the Elder Hotline, people call about all areas of law, including civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law. A lot of these things, I just tell them up front that it is not my area, but I will try to steer them in the right direction.

In the interest of transparency, I have added a pricing page to my website, at https://www.palmateerlawoffice.com/pricing. These rates are subject to increase at any time, and they probably will increase in 2021 or 2022. Frankly, I was going to increase the flat rates in early 2020, but then early 2020 happened, and I did not want to make things any more difficult for my clients during this absolute dumpster fire of a year. Happy Thanksgiving. Go eat some turkey or tofurkey or something! It's a little different this year, but there is still a lot to be thankful for, even if they are silver linings. Bide your time, and hold out hope.
