Attorney Luz Tijerina-Garduño graduated law school in 2013. After passing the bar and being admitted into the California Bar in December of same year, Ms. Tijerina-Garduño began her practice in law. Tijerina-Garduño’s passion for law began when as a child she saw how her own family fell through the cracks of the system. She graduated from undergraduate as a double major and with honors in both majors. She continued her education at Whittier Law School where she obtained a merit-based scholarship. Tijerina-Garduño also received various awards for obtaining the highest marks in many of her classes as well as for being active in the law school community with organizations such as the Public Interest Law Foundation, the Mexican American Bar Association, and the Student Bar Association amongst others. Throughout her time in law school, Ms. Tijerina-Garduño worked for various immigration law firms and volunteered for nonprofit organizations such as The Public Law Center, a nonprofit that provides free legal service to low-income residents of Orange County. Tijerina-Garduño also interned with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office and was honored as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kimberly Menninger at the Orange County Superior Court. As an attorney, Ms. Tijerina-Garduño has represented hundreds of clients in the immigration and criminal courts throughout the United States. Tijerina-Garduño has acquired great expertise in the areas of immigration and criminal law which she now provides for her own clients.
