This CLE program will examine the Opportunity Zone changes enacted under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, including the permanent renewal of the program, new zone designations beginning in 2027, and enhanced incentives for qualifying rural investments. The discussion will explore practical considerations for attorneys advising investors, business owners, and real estate developers, including investment timing, Qualified Opportunity Fund structuring, tax planning, and compliance.

Stress, Physiology, and Professional Judgment: How Chronic Stress and Physical Depletion Impair Legal Decision-Making

This program examines how chronic stress and physical depletion impair professional judgment, decision-making, and performance in legal practice. Attorneys will learn how stress affects cognitive clarity, impulse control, risk assessment, and communication, increasing the likelihood of professional errors and professional vulnerability. The program explores lawyer-specific stressors, burnout patterns, and the role of physiological regulation in maintaining competence, sound judgment, and effective client representation. The content is designed to provide a practical understanding of how stress impacts real-world legal work and how attorneys can maintain high levels of performance under pressure. All attendees will be eligible to enter into a raffle for one free consultation and personal training session from On the Mend Fitness.
