To any NYC process servers on this group. We just received an e mail from Governor Kathy Hochul"s office that the the NYSPPSA log book bill was signed into law, Fifty two years later, NYC process servers no longer have to use this draconian method of recording services. Thanks to all involved, Gail, Jason, Ellen and Paula. In 2016 we had to accept the assault bill as compensation for their refusal to give us this bill. Six years later after much expense and effort relief is here. The log book is not gone, the law allows the server to choose to use the logbook OR electronic recording.

Today is a monumental day for NYSPPSA. Our logbook bill has passed the senate and assembly. We have never made it this far and all that is left is for the governor to sign the bill. Once it is signed the State will no longer require New York City Process Servers to keep a paper logbook.
