Last week, we held our Business and Family Negotiation Seminar at the ARC. From strategy and communication to navigating difficult conversations, everyone walked away with practical tools to strengthen their negotiation skills in both business and family law settings. A big thank you to our speakers for sharing their knowledge and to everyone who joined us for a thoughtful and engaging program.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the heroes who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we spend time with family and friends, may we also take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices that make our freedoms possible. Today, and every day, we remember those who served and never came home.

We traded the office for the ballpark and headed out for a little Crosstown Classic fun at the Cubs vs. White Sox game last Friday! Great company, ballpark snacks, and a little friendly rivalry made for a great time.

In a profession where we’re constantly balancing deadlines, emails, meetings, and competing priorities, mental clutter can build up quickly.

Sometimes, one of the simplest ways to reset isn’t adding something new to your routine. It’s clearing space.

Research suggests that our physical environment can impact stress levels, focus, and overall well-being. A crowded desk, overflowing inbox, or disorganized space can quietly contribute to feeling overwhelmed. On the flip side, even small moments of organization can help us feel more grounded and in control.

This week, consider choosing one small thing to simplify:
• Clear your desk before leaving for the day
• Organize a folder or inbox
• Let go of something that no longer serves a purpose

Small adjustments can create room for clearer thinking and calmer days. Our Attorney Wellness Committee wants to know for this Mindful Monday, what one thing you’re decluttering this week?
