Voting finally begins today. I want to thank everyone for the tremendous support I have received for my campaign to be District Judge of the 23rd Judicial District Court.
I have knocked on your doors; met you at events; mailed you information about my qualifications, and reached out through every media source available in or small community. I want to take last opportunity to ask for your vote.
I am a husband, father, grandfather and attorney. I have lived in courtrooms for the last 35 years handling the most intimate matters of individuals lives. Thousands upon thousands of people have trusted me with these matters. The have trusted me because I am a fierce advocate for my client and their rights, as well as fully versed in handling their cases.
My highest calling has been to be a father and husband. I thank God for what he has blessed me with, and allowed me to pass on my knowledge and beliefs to my children.
In the campaign, I have focused on my EXPERIENCE and presented my full resume so you can review my qualifications and EXPERIENCE. My opponent has failed to do this, because her legal experience is not fully developed.
Has my opponent ever tried a jury family law case? No.
Has my opponent ever tried a jury breach of contract case? No.
Has my opponent ever tried a personal injury case? No.
70 to 80 percents of the court's trial time will be devoted to trying civil and family cases. How can you preside over these cases if you have never handled these? Learn on the job I guess, but this is dangerous to the people who are trusting the Judge to make the correct decision. Kind of like asking for a 4th year medical student to do open heart surgery.
My law office is a small business. I have 34 years of EXPERIENCE running a small business. Through these years,l I have learned the ins and outs of managing employees, creating and implementing budgets, and working with collateral businesses to create a successful operation.
Lastly, I have shared my personal journey from my childhood. The EXPERIENCES of my childhood; the hardships faced by my family; and the lessons I have learned along the way have given me the EXPERIENCE I need to be a Judge who can understand the individual who will come to my Court seeking help.
I humbly ask for your Vote for the position of District Judge of the 23rd Judicial District Court.
