Whether it’s for a holiday, wedding, baby, graduation, birthday, new home, or “just because,” custom artwork has a way of saying “You matter to me” like nothing else can.

I regularly donate custom pillows and blankets to We LOVE Arabian Horses, a nonprofit organization, as prizes for their contests. What begins as a prize often becomes a deeply personal keepsake — original custom artwork I create through shared stories, meaningful conversation, and heartfelt collaboration.

Below is a post I recently shared with that group, highlighting a few past custom pieces. I’m sharing it publicly to give you a glimpse into how these memory creations come to life.

🐎Hey, fellow Arabian Ambassadors and horse lovers!

A new year is here, and that means a fresh contest season is officially underway! I’m honored to donate one of the prizes for the annual Ambassadors’ contest, and I thought it would be fun to share a few past prizes so you can see what you could win.

Winners send me a photo and tell me what they’d like on their pillow or blanket, and then we work through the design together. Of course, most people want their horse — which I absolutely love. During our conversations, I try to get a feel for both the person and their horse so the artwork truly reflects their story.

Cheyenne Borelly’s story still makes me laugh. Her horse is definitely not a trail horse — and you’ll understand why when you see her pillow featuring the artwork titled “The Trail Horse Prospect.”

Emily Reynolds and Colton are incredibly patriotic, so their blanket was inspired by a photo of Colton riding as the American flag bearer. It couldn’t have been a better fit.

Janna Eiberger has several Arabian horses and chose to feature her “dream horse,” but I couldn’t resist including her beautiful western horse as well. She hasn’t received her blanket yet (thank you, tariffs!), but I’m sharing a mockup so you can see what it will look like.

🎄The Little Evergreen’s Secret🎄

❄️Once upon a frosty winter’s night, a small evergreen stood alone on a snowy hillside, wondering why it never lost its needles like the other trees. While oaks turned bare and maples slept under blankets of white, the little evergreen stayed bright and green, whispering to the stars, “Why am I always awake when the world grows quiet and cold?”

😇An angel, passing by with arms full of starlight, paused and smiled. “Because,” the angel said, “you were chosen to carry a message that never fades, even in the longest winter.”

✝️The angel touched the tree, and it grew tall and graceful, its branches forming a perfect triangle that pointed straight toward heaven—like the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit reaching down to us and lifting our eyes above.

🕯️Then the angel hung tiny flames of light all through its boughs. “These,” the angel said, “are to remind the world that Jesus came as the Light no darkness can put out. And every heart that loves Him gets to carry that same light.”

💎The angel adorned the branches with glittering ornaments that sparkled like jewels and fruit. “These,” the angel whispered, “are the beautiful gifts of the Holy Spirit and every blessing God pours into our days—love, joy, peace, and so many more.

🌟Finally, she placed a radiant star at the very top.
“This is the Star of Bethlehem that led the world to Jesus, the true King born on Christmas night. Let it always guide our hearts home to Him.”

The little evergreen shivered with delight, greener and brighter than ever. From that night on, whenever families brought an evergreen into their homes and decorated it with lights and treasures, the tree remembered its secret and silently told the old, old story:
