I love this verse because it isn’t a call to rush. It’s a reminder to be intentional with the time God has given us.

Some things are absolutely worth waiting for.

But there is a difference between waiting with a purpose and waiting for a “perfect” moment that may never come.

That’s true in real estate, but it’s also true in life.

Buying a home before you’re ready isn’t a good strategy. Neither is selling simply because someone tells you it’s a “great time.” The better question is whether the decision makes sense for you, your finances, your family, and where you believe God is leading you.

Sometimes wisdom says move forward.

Sometimes wisdom says wait.

Either way, the decision should be made prayerfully, with good information and a clear understanding of what the choice will mean for your family and your finances.

If you want to make a space feel more like you, there are two pretty easy ways to do it:

A bold pattern, texture, or print can completely change the feel of a room and give it a focal point without having to redo everything else.

Colorful artwork, rugs, furniture, lighting, or accessories can add just as much personality. The bonus is that it is a whole lot easier to change your mind later.

And that is really the question. How committed do you want to be? 😂

Wallpaper can make a big statement. Decor gives you more flexibility.

It’s really about helping buyers see the house clearly—and picture how their own life might fit there.

That usually means less “decorate more” and more “take a few things away.”

🧹 Clear the extra stuff. Too much furniture, clutter, or personal decor can make it harder to notice the space itself.

💡 Let in the light. Replace light bulbs, open the blinds, clean the windows, and make sure the rooms feel bright and welcoming.

🌿 Add a little life. A simple plant, fresh flowers, or even a bowl of fruit can make a room feel cared for without trying too hard.

🎨 Tone down anything that overwhelms the room. You don’t have to strip every bit of personality out of a house, but buyers should notice the home before they notice the paint color.

🚪 And don’t forget the front door. Buyers start forming an impression before they ever walk inside.

The goal isn’t to make your home look like somebody else lives there.

It’s to help buyers focus on the things that matter most—the space, the layout, and the possibilities.

It’s one of the first spaces you see when you come home, and one of the first spaces your guests see too. So it has to do a little bit of everything—look good, feel welcoming, and hopefully give everybody somewhere to put their stuff. 😄

Some people love a bright, simple entry with natural light, warm wood, and a bench that actually gets used.

Others would rather make a statement with interesting lighting, artwork, and a little more personality.

Neither one is “right.” The best entryway is the one that fits the way you actually live in your home.

The last thing you want is to finally get the keys, walk into the house…and realize the water isn’t on. Or the internet installer can’t come until next week. 😬

This is one of those not-so-exciting details that can save you a whole lot of aggravation later.

Before move-in day, make sure you’ve handled:

⚡ Electricity — Arrange for service to begin when you take possession.

💧 Water — Because moving without running water is an experience nobody needs.

🔥 Gas — If the home uses it, make sure service is scheduled for the appliances, hot water, or heat you’ll need.

📶 Internet — This one is worth scheduling early. Installation appointments don’t always line up with your moving timeline.

There are plenty of big things to think about when you’re buying a home. Sometimes it’s the boring little details that make the biggest difference once moving day actually gets here.

They encourage curiosity, build confidence, challenge students to think, and keep showing up when learning gets hard.

Today is World Teachers’ Day, and it’s a good opportunity to recognize the people who invest so much time, patience, and care into helping others learn.

Whether that learning happens in a classroom, at a co-op, around a kitchen table, or somewhere in between, a good teacher can leave an impact that lasts far beyond the lesson.
