AI Disclosures required in 11th and 17th Circuit Courts

Two of Florida’s largest judicial circuits now require lawyers and self-represented litigants to disclose AI-generated court submissions, and to certify their accuracy.

Failure to comply could result in sanctions that range from the striking of the pleadings to monetary sanctions, contempt proceedings, or disciplinary referral.

The WBA proudly promotes the NSU Law Board of Advocates for the Third Annual Shark Beach Showdown Trial Competition, Feb. 20–22!
Volunteers earn 4 General CLE + 1 Ethics credit per session. Judges are needed for this national tournament featuring top law schools from across the country such as Harvard, UC Berkeley, Northwestern, South Texas, Denver, and a host of others.

🔹 Internships
A fantastic opportunity for undergraduate students interested in attending law school and for current law students. Interns will work closely with Judges, observe court proceedings, and assist with preparing official court documents—gaining meaningful, hands-on experience within the judiciary.

🔹 Supervising Trial Court Staff Attorney
This leadership role includes managing staff attorneys while performing advanced legal research and legal writing.

🔹 Trial Court Staff Attorneys
Attorneys will support Judges through legal research, drafting, and analysis in a fast-paced court environment.

🚨 Florida ranks 3rd in human trafficking cases 🚨

Human trafficking is a billion-dollar criminal enterprise that thrives on exploitation. Victims—many just 12-14 years old—face unimaginable abuse while traffickers operate in the shadows.

The Weston Bar Association (WBA) is taking action. Our Anti-Trafficking Initiative will provide victims with legal representation to hold traffickers accountable and seek justice.
