This law firm has been investigating customer complaints against alleged defects in the Caterpillar C-15 and C-13 diesel engines used in the highway trucking industry. The alleged defects in these Class A engines manufactured by Caterpillar from 2007 to 2009 involve the Diesel Particulate Filter (“DPF”) which is a component of the Clean Gas Induction system that is intended to reduce the emission of harmful hydrocarbon and other contaminants. Companies who are utilizing this engine in their highway equipment have experienced an inordinate amount of costly repairs and “out of service” time involving the filters and the sensors that monitor the filter system.
This law firm is attempting to determine whether or not these purported defects with the DPF and its sensor is isolated or is a known common defect in this engine. If you are experiencing similar problems with the DPF and your Caterpillar C-15 or C-13 diesel engine with the Particulate Matter Filter, please provide your name and contact information and a brief explanation of your experience, or contact our office at (734) 326-2101 or toll free at 1-800-605-2101. All information received will of course be held in the strictest confidence and will not be disclosed to anyone outside this firm without your written permission.
