Interesting article and important to note that there are reasons why reputable CPAs won’t encourage aggressive stances on tax credits. Not only do many businesses not qualify for many of these credits, but they’re later penalized and have to repay credits they obtain improperly. This particular group charging clients a fortune to calculate tax credits without doing their due diligence were raided by the IRS recently. If a colleague or friend says “I got so much money back from a tax credit”, make sure to talk to your TRUSTED advisor about whether it’s appropriate for you or not. We are trusted for a reason.
