𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗖 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀

IRCC has introduced special measures for individuals affected by the 2024 wildfires in Canada. These measures include fee waivers for applications related to temporary resident status, work permits, study permits, and citizenship certificate replacements. Affected individuals can apply for status extensions or restorations until November 30, 2024. Proof of impact, such as a signed letter or evidence of residence in an affected area, is required for these exemptions.

We are very pleased to announce that our client has had her Canadian citizenship restored! Many thanks to Olivia Bowden and the team at CBC for bringing attention to her plight, including in an interview with Daniel Kingwell on CBC Here and Now (link below).

Citizens and immigrants alike are entitled to timely and humane resolution of their applications, and should not have to endure months of dislocation and uncertainty. Justice delayed is justice denied.
