What a wonderful time celebrating our nation's 250th Independence Day with the amazing West Sac community! 🇺🇸

It was such a pleasure meeting more residents, enjoying refreshing beverages, and celebrating the Fourth of July with friends and neighbors. One of the highlights of the morning was connecting with our mayor and sharing ideas about the future of West Sacramento. Meaningful conversations and collaboration are how we build a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone.

Events like these remind me why I'm running for City Council, District 4. I believe in listening to residents, working together, and finding thoughtful solutions that help our neighborhoods thrive.

What an AMAZING afternoon! 🍦❤️

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, helped organize, and supported our Ice Cream Social! Your encouragement, enthusiasm, and belief in this campaign mean more than you know.

Despite a last-minute venue change, our community showed up with smiles, meaningful conversations, and an incredible spirit. Nothing is going to stop us from coming together and working toward the positive future that West Sacramento deserves!

This campaign has never been about one person—it's about all of us working together to build a West Sacramento that works for every resident. That's why I'll remain committed to three priorities:

Important Venue Update: Due to conflicting guidance from the City regarding park permit requirements, we've moved today's event to Riva Condos, 1340 Riva Drive. When we scheduled this event, we were told a permit would not be necessary, but just this afternoon we were informed that one would be required. We apologize for the last-minute change and appreciate your understanding. Our residents deserve clear communication, consistency, and accountability from City Hall—and that's one of the reasons I'm running for West Sacramento City Council. I look forward to seeing you and discussing how we can work together to build a more responsive and transparent city government.

West Sacramento is more than where I live—it's the community I care deeply about and want to help strengthen for future generations.

Like many residents, I've seen the tremendous growth and opportunity in our city. I've also heard concerns from neighbors about public safety, infrastructure, responsible development, government transparency, and ensuring that City Hall remains focused on the people it serves.

My decision to run comes from a simple belief: the best solutions come from listening to the people who know our neighborhoods best. It's about finding the right people who know an area the best and bringing those voices into the decision-making process.

As a legal operations professional, I have spent my career solving complex problems, managing large projects, and bringing people together to achieve results. I am not a career politician. I am a resident who believes local government works best when it is practical, responsive, and accountable.

This campaign will be about:

✅ Supporting safe neighborhoods
✅ Promoting responsible growth and infrastructure improvements
✅ Ensuring transparency and accountability in city government

Every resident deserves to feel safe where they live. Kathy will support public safety efforts, improve responsiveness to neighborhood concerns, and work to strengthen partnerships between residents and local government.

Responsible Growth That Protects Quality of Life
West Sacramento is growing quickly, and Kathy believes growth must be managed responsibly. She will support smart planning, infrastructure improvements, and balanced development that keeps the community’s long-term needs first.

Kathy Bailey is a legal professional, community advocate, and dedicated West Sacramento leader running for City Council in District 4. Throughout her career, Kathy has built a reputation for accountability, professionalism, and bringing people together to solve problems. Her background includes experience in private practice, federal government, corporate legal departments, and complex litigation matters.

Beyond her professional career, Kathy has remained deeply involved in serving her local community. Since 2020, she has served as Board President of the Riva on the River Homeowners Association, representing more than 250 condominium units in West Sacramento. In this volunteer leadership role, she has worked directly with residents, city officials, and public agencies to improve communication, strengthen neighborhood safety, and ensure community concerns are heard and addressed.

Kathy is running for City Council because she believes West Sacramento deserves leadership that listens to residents, puts the community first, and focuses on real solutions instead of politics. She is committed to being a fresh, independent voice at City Hall that will always prioritize what is best for local families, neighborhoods, and businesses.
