For years, I measured my preparation by one thing: How much I accomplished.
More research.
More notes.
More outlines.
More checklists.
It felt productive. But it didn't always make me more prepared. Eventually, I realized I'd been measuring the wrong thing.
Preparation isn't about checking the most boxes. It's about identifying the few things that will make the biggest difference.
Busyness can make you feel productive. Strategy helps you become effective. (We'll talk more about that tomorrow.)
