Highly respected law firm in West Palm Beach is accepting resumes for a full time Paralegal/Legal Assistant with at least two years of litigation experience in Florida. We are looking for someone who is efficient, dependable, self-directed and organized, who has excellent communication skills, time management skills, and the capability to handle new tasks as needed.
Ability to learn new software is important. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Providing direct litigation support for 2 attorneys
Monitoring deadlines and maintaining attorney's calendars
Scheduling hearings and appointments
E-filing of lawsuits and other legal documents
Preparing legal documents and correspondence
Answering and directing phone calls
Managing, organizing and indexing document production
Preparing hearing folders and trial notebooks
Maintaining communication with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses and the Courts
Organizing and maintaining client files using case management software
Requirements:
Proven working experience as legal assistant
Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
Computer literacy, including Microsoft office
Ability to work well in a team environment
Working knowledge of e-filing and legal case management software
Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Bilingual/Multilingual a plus
