Most of us over 40 remember how strict our parents could be if we tried something stupid. But we who are over 40 have refused to put the same morals and discipline into our kids.
It has absolutely shocked me how many alcohol, drugs, and o**y parties (usually at the same party) kids the age of 12-16 are having with full permission from their parents. The latest party I have heard about (my kids were not involved) the 15 year old kids were drunk off their rear end, consuming drugs (probably just ma*****na, but still) and having literal or**es wherein guys were having s*x with up to three or four other girls, and vice versa, and all "finished" without protection, while the parents slept upstairs.
This is hardly rare. I was shocked when I started hearing about it, but its been continuous since I first heard about it. There are still great kids that I have been privileged to have been associated with that don't do such things. But there is a huge percentage of kids that this kind of behavior is normal. I can name names, but I won't. I have had the privilege to know a young lady who is currently 15, that asked me how to avoid peer pressure because when she goes to parties these things are happening. Her parents strongly encourage her to go to these parties.
I cannot believe the liability parents unknowingly are taking on, let alone the criminal implications. Do any of us care about the long term effects of kids 15 years of age engaging in such behavior? This whole thing sickens me.
