The Mock Trial Team at the University of New Haven is co-sponsored by Legal Studies Department and involves the application of legal procedures in a fictional trial setting. Team members develop close friendships with each other while learning about law, trial proceedings, public speaking, leadership skills, and courtroom skills and etiquette. A yearly case is provided to all collegiate teams by t

he American Mock Trial Association (AMTA). The UNH Mock Trial Team attends AMTA-sponsored competitions held each spring at various colleges and universities, as well as invitational and regional tournaments throughout the academic year. Mock Trial is open to all students; no legal background or major is needed. Mock Trial is primarily student-run and has two advisors: Tom Geisler and Walt Bansley IV.

The UNH Mock Trial Team will be taking on the SCSU Mock Trial team today at 10am in our first scrimmage of the season! The trial will be located in the Moulton Lounge. Thank you Southern for visiting us today!

Finished 4-4 in the New Haven Regional Tournament this past weekend--best season yet! The team also came away with an Outstanding Attorney Award!

We will be hosting a scrimmage against Southern CT State this Saturday, Jan 25, in the BSAC Multipurpose Conference Room. First round at 9:30am and the second at 1:30pm. Spectators are welcome!
