Vermont's sugaring season coming to an end, bringing with it mud season. We are ready for some warmer days at Ski Country Legal, PLC.

Sugar makers are telling me that the season is about over with the above-freezing temperatures forecast for this week, thus I wanted to squeeze in one final sugaring photo.
This photo was taken Saturday and the sugar maker is my friend Jerry D’Amico. Jerry and I met 3-4 years ago when I was seeking a solution to the overpopulation of my backyard by groundhogs. I was informed by a friend that the nearby village of Roxbury had a professional trapper by the name of D’Amico. I gave him a call and he came by to set his have-a-heart traps in my backyard. While setting up he asked me what I did for a living. I told him I taught Calculus at Vermont Technical College. Looking over the top of his trap he responded with – oh Calculus – that was my favorite subject. Needless to say, I was surprised that this Roxbury trapper would thus respond. As it turned out Jerry is a Worcester Tech electrical engineer. Worcester Tech is one of the most prestigious technical colleges in America. We have since had many happy hours talking about our favorite baseball team – the Red Sox of course.
Jerry symbolizes perfectly why Vermont is the nation’s number one producer of maple syrup. He has a small one-family operation as do hundreds of other Vermont citizens. We may be a small state but with so many small individual sugar makers we produce 2.2 million gallons of maple syrup annually the most of any state

Meet Attorney Kevin Rogers.

Kevin opened his firm, Ski Country Legal, PLC, in December of 2021 to assist the Southern Vermont community’s legal needs. Kevin is taking on new real estate clients in the Deerfield Valley area and neighboring areas, including towns surrounding Stratton, Okemo, and Killington.
