Oh Christmas Tree 🎄
After 5 long years I have decided to put up a Christmas tree again. Is it time? Yes. To most it may just look like a Christmas tree but to me it means more than that. For decades I would assemble it with so much love, excitement and fun. Things happened in life and I’ve given away my tree 5 years ago along with the sad memories that come with it. My friend has a huge box in the car and asked her what it was and it was a Christmas tree she no longer use, she said if I wanted it I said sure but weeks have passed and I didn’t touch it. She came one Saturday, set up the tree and light it up. I didn’t know I’m ok to have a Christmas tree again.
Thanksgiving came and my daughter came home from college and she made decors and adorable stuff filled with her time and love and hang it on the tree. Boy I didn’t know that this tree will be my healing tree. Something I’m trying to avoid yet it’s been there and ready. Thank you Father for this tree that symbolizes my journey of healing. Some are fun, creative and colorful, other ones are ordinary and real. The tree has come back to life, thanks to you Father. I’m going to make it more beautiful as my story still goes …. A story of freedom, redemption and restoration 🎄
