Proud of our own Ben Johns, who along with his wife Alie, helped organize a back-to-school giveaway in Upper Darby, PA on August 15th. Together with volunteers, they handed out more than 200 backpacks stocked with school supplies to kids in the community getting ready to head back to class.

It's moments like these that remind us what community really looks like. Way to go, Ben and Alie!

Welcome Jennifer Phan to the SJH Team!

We're excited to welcome Jennifer Phan as our Research Assistant this summer! Jennifer is a second-year undergraduate student at Swarthmore College, where she is pursuing dual degrees in Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies with an eye toward a future in law.

Jennifer brings a strong research background to her role, and we're thrilled to have her contributing her skills and fresh perspective to our team this summer.

Please join us in welcoming our summer intern, Shadel Brewster, to the SJH team!

Shadel joins us through the Upper Darby PLOT (Participant Leadership & Occupational Training) Program, where she spent the past two years interning with Upper Darby Township — first as a Municipal Clerk intern, then in Human Resources and Risk Management.

Shadel is a recent graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School and is headed to Temple University this fall.

At SJH, she'll get hands-on exposure across the firm while continuing to build on the administrative and analytical skills she's developed so far.

Outside of work, Shadel is a talented multi-instrumentalist (piano, saxophone, drums, and steel drums!) and has been crocheting for over three years. She's also been an active community leader, from the Youth Legislative Council to serving as President of the Big Buddy/Community Service Corps.

We're excited to have her with us this summer — welcome, Shadel!
