Unruh Turner Burke & Frees was proud to support the 2026 Trail Blazer Run as a Stars Level Sponsor again this year. The event helps fund East Bradford Township's public trail program, supporting the maintenance and expansion of the community's extensive network of trails, parks, and open spaces.

Several members of our team laced up their running shoes for the event, including Partner Kristen W. Ladd, her father Robert Wetzel, her son Liam Ladd, attorney Robert C. Jefferson IV, and paralegal Krista Chew.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participants who helped make this year's Trail Blazer Run another success. We're pleased to welcome Kara Maniscalco to Unruh Turner Burke & Frees as a 2026 summer associate.

A West Chester native, Kara is currently pursuing her law degree at Hofstra University, where she is a Business Law Honors Fellow and active student leader. She has already distinguished herself through her work in securities law, with a published comment letter that was cited by both the Securities and Exchange Commission and Nasdaq in public filings.

We are excited to have Kara with us this summer and look forward to supporting her continued growth in the legal profession.

Unruh Turner Burke & Frees had the pleasure of serving as the beverage cart sponsor for the 2nd Annual The Howell Open at White Manor Country Club. Partners Ryan Jennings and Dan LePera represented the firm and enjoyed connecting with fellow attendees throughout the day.

Proceeds from the event support the Chester County Community Foundation Ted Gacomis Scholarship for Civil Engineering, helping future engineers pursue their educational goals.
