Wow - what a great turn out! For me, the summer officially starts when I attend the TANJ Annual Meeting at The Breakers ~ thank you for starting the summer with me last night!
The highlights of the Annual Meeting are:
Hon. Jack Sabatino’s Keynote Speech – about live-streaming appellate arguments and how we Trial Attorneys embody civics lessons to jurors – was powerful.
Johanna Barba Jones, Director, NJ Office of Attorney Ethics presented an insightful and approachable CLE, “De-Mystifying Attorney Discipline for Trial Attorneys.”
Ed Mathews strutted his stuff as TANJ Parliamentarian.
For the Thurs., Oct. 9, 2025 Trial Bar Awards Gala at the Pleasantdale Chateau, TANJ announced the award recipients:
Trial Bar Awards: (1) Don Lomurro of Lomurro Law, (2) Trish Giordano of Feldman Shepherd, and (3) Craig Hilliard of Stark & Stark
Special Recognition Award: The Honorable Jaynee LaVecchia (ret.), former Justice on the Supreme Court of New Jersey, and now with McCarter & English
Lively conversation with TANJ members while enjoying drinks on the porch on a perfect summer day!
