This Mother’s Day, I hosted my very first Moms & Mimosas brunch — and let me tell you, my whole heart went into elevating every detail for the women who deserved it most.
From the moment guests walked in, the vibe was set: joy, elegance, laughter, and a whole lot of love.
We kicked things off with specialty crafted drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres that had everyone talking — coconut milk calabrese shrimp served in martini glasses, tostones cups with codfish, jerk chicken and waffles in luxe boxes, and fresh fruit salad.
Then came the main spread: honey jerk chicken, jerk pork (by special request!), salmon, escovitch fish, rice and peas, and white rice — a full Caribbean feast made with intention.
One of the highlights? Our Sip & Paint hour. No instructions, just creativity, vibes, and belly‑deep laughter. I even painted a home worth $1.2 million (in my mind, of course). The memories from that moment alone are priceless.
My sister and I also created the cutest little purse-and-scarf goodie gifts for each mom — a small touch that meant a lot.
But the showstopper?
I revealed my baking skills with mini cakes topped with edible decorations I made myself — each paired with a tiny spoon shaped like a shovel so they could “dig in” at home. The reactions were everything.
The feedback… overwhelming in the best way. From adults to kids, everyone felt the love, the effort, and the intention behind every detail. And that alone made it all worth it.
I’m proud. I’m grateful. And I’m already excited for next year.
