Partners for Youth with Disabilities is hosting its 4th Golf Classic on October 7, 2024 at the Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead. This beautiful golf course is a wonderful fall backdrop to build support for our mission of empowering youth with disabilities to reach their full potential through career development, mentoring, and leadership programs.

If you golf, please consider joining us, either by yourself or in a foursome. Another idea is to bring clients along and make a positive impact through a fun day! Please DM me if you are interested in sponsorship opportunities.

Are you a rising high school senior who has benefited from a positive mentoring experience or do you know someone who is?

In honor of Mass Mentoring Partnership's 30th year, ALKU will be awarding two $30,000 academic scholarships to rising high school seniors in Massachusetts. The recipients of the scholarship must have been impacted by and engaged in a positive mentoring relationship for at least one year and have plans to attend a 4-year college or university.

Para un perro ser considerado un Animal de Servicio este TIENE que estar entrenado en al menos una tarea que trabaje con la discapacidad de su manejador.

Apoyo emocional NO es considerado una tarea bajo el Americans with Disabilities Act.
El perro tiene que activamente mitigar con la discapacidad de su manejador, proveer ayuda meramente con su presencia y compañía lo hace un perro de Apoyo Emocional, NO un Perro de Servicio.

Si una persona es discapacitada pero su perro NO está entrenado en tareas para ayudar con la discapacidad de esa persona, entonces el perro NO es un perro de servicio.

Si el perro SI está entrenado como perro de servicio pero la persona NO ES una persona discapacitada, entonces el perro NO es un perro de servicio.

Debe haber una combinación de ambos. El equipo tiene que ser de ambos un perro entrenado y la persona ser discapacitada para que pueda ser cubierta por derechos y actas que protegen a personas discapacitadas:
ADA, FHA, ACAA etc.
