Make a Two-Year Happiness Plan
Ask yourself, “Where do I want to be in two years?”
If the answer is “right where I am right now,” you are a very lucky person, and you should thank God and all the people around you for the roles they play in your good fortune.
If your answer is “not where I am now,” you need to make a plan of all the steps necessary to get you to your happy place and then start taking action.
Do you want to be happier at home and fulfilled in your work life? If you do not feel those things now, you don’t need to fix everything in one day. Make an exit plan that leads you to your happy place by the end of two years.
Make a plan for education or training for a new or different job or use your current skills to apply for jobs that actually appreciate you and pay you a fair wage.
If you are unhappy at home, stop walking on eggshells and enabling your partner’s behaviors that are making you unhappy. Communicate with them and let them know the things you want them to change in order for you to be happy and be willing to work on things they want you to change in order for them to be happy.
If your two year happiness plan involves leaving your current relationship, let me help. I do divorces and custody suits that will help you work toward your Two-Year Happiness Plan.
