Congrats to our team for a $2,850,000 recovery for a hard-working contractor, husband, and father of four, who was seriously injured due to the negligence of a trucking company and its driver.

The driver of the tractor-trailer made an illegal right turn, pulling directly into our client’s lane. The defendants tried to blame our client, arguing he was speeding. However, through diligent investigation, our team located crucial nighttime video footage from a nearby business. Our video expert was able to use freeze-frame analysis to prove our client was traveling 8 mph below the speed limit.

This evidence was a game-changer. It not only dismantled the defendants' case but also helped our client recover damages for his lost time from work and devastating physical injuries that nearly cost him his business.

By filing a lawsuit immediately, we secured this recovery in just 19 months, allowing our client to focus on his recovery and his family. A huge congratulations to our team for their incredible work. We are honored to fight for justice for those who need it most!

We are honored to award the Jack Scura Fund $10,000 Scholarship for 2025–2026 to Maci DeCarlo.

When faced with the challenges of a visual impairment, Maci found more than just ways to adapt—she reimagined what it means to truly “see.” In the process, she gained insight, empathy, and resilience that now guide her work and her purpose.

Her lived experience has become her calling: to pursue a Ph.D. in School Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University and to turn personal challenges into advocacy for others. Maci embodies the spirit of Jack Scura by transforming adversity into strength and using it to open doors for those who come after her.

The firm is pleased to announce that our partner, Guillermo Gonzalez, Esq., settled a case for $2,075,000 for our client, a 19-year-old woman, who sustained serious and permanent injuries at a crosswalk at night when hit by a car.

The State of NJ failed to properly maintain and fix the non-functioning streetlights at the intersection, which in large caused the driver’s failure to see our client that night.

Our firm had the honor of hosting the swearing-in ceremony for Eric Flaim, Esq., transitioning from a law clerk to an associate within our team. The ceremony was presided over by Judges Thomas Brogan and Randal Chiocca, who are at the helm of our mediation and arbitration practices, and held in our brand-new mock courtroom.

We were also privileged to have Judge Ronda Casson-Cotroneo join us for the ceremony, who was recently sworn into the Passaic County Superior Court.
