The Judicial Selection and Retention Committee of the Lake County Bar Association (LCBA) has completed its review and evaluation of the candidates for retention as Circuit Court Judge in Lake County, Illinois. Each elected Circuit Court Judge comes up for a retention vote once every six years.

Through the Judicial Selection and Retention Committee, the LCBA evaluates candidates by its 16-member committee who are appointed for staggered three-year terms. The committee is comprised of experienced attorneys with a wide range of backgrounds and practice areas throughout Lake County, IL. The committee is non-partisan, and its sole objective is to ensure that the best candidates are elected and retained for judicial positions.

The committee completed interviews and meetings with all the retention candidates. The committee has made the following findings:

Happy National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! 🚔

This is a day to recognize our staff for the important (and sometimes challenging) careers they have chosen; whatever that role is – police officer, telecommunicator, or other staff member.

On January 9, we encourage members of our community to take a moment to recognize these challenges and to show support for those who serve and protect.
