A quick glance away from the road. That’s all it takes….

Beginning June 6, Pennsylvania’s Paul Miller’s Law prohibits the use of handheld devices while driving — even while stopped in traffic or at a red light.

The goal is simple:

✅ Reduce distracted driving
✅ Prevent crashes
✅ Save lives

Put the cellphone down before you put lives at risk!

Distracted driving affects your ability to react, recognize hazards, and safely operate a vehicle. No text message, notification, or social media update is worth a tragedy.

Violations of Paul Miller’s Law may result in a $50 fine (plus court costs, totaling roughly $198.50).

The WCSO respectfully reminds motorists to:
• Use hands-free features when necessary
• Pull over safely if you must text or use your device
• Set phones to “Do Not Disturb While Driving”
• Lead by example for young drivers and passengers
