*** Big Announcement #1 This Week ***
Today’s story time: “An End to the House Saga”
Although a very personal and stressful time for me, the amount of help I received from this community was outstanding and thanks to our followers, y’all finally found what I was looking for!! So with that’s said, I feel it’s only appropriate to give y’all the final conclusion and give credits where they a due.
As a quick back story, particularly for those of you that don’t know, on July 1st, 2023 the residential house I was living in was substantially damaged almost to an uninhabitable state by a powerful storm that rolled through Washington, Missouri dropping part of a tree through my roof and window. As ironic as it may seem, yes, even the weatherman himself can fall victim to a bad storm just like anyone else. Luckily, I was not home at the time this happened which I’m so very thankful for given where the tree blew through the window is where I like to Netflix and chill on the weekend which is when this storm occurred.

Since then, the house remains a disaster zone with nothing fixed including the hole in the roof and window still broken out. However, I have been SO GRATEFUL for all the help offered from so many of you all! I am truly blessed to have all you followers, friends and family members who have reached out offering me up temporary housing where I’ve been able to stay a lot. Especially since things have only gotten worse and went downhill fast with my landlord trying to default on our agreed upon contract.
I’ve been so thankful for the great folks from the WPD for helping keep me safe and her from entering my residence illegally due to all the harassing threats and falsified information that have since sadly unfolded from what was once a good friendship.
Ironically enough, this even happened in front of her own insurance adjuster as she was trying to censor my freedom of speech for showing him the damages to the residence I live in. I was the only one he asked for and wanted to talk to and was just trying to help him with the damages that were specific to just that storm alone. I have been living here for almost a year and there were other damages as the result of prior storms that went unfixed that had to be sorted out. Obviously, I’m the only one who would have known those answers.
So anyhoo, if that doesn’t throw some red flags, I don’t know what does. Point is, I could write a drama series on this but I don’t like that life so I’d rather just wish her the best and hope she gets the help she needs to go forward. As I make my final move out, I truly hope and pray it will be a peaceful exit without my neighbors having to witness another a scene from something you only see in movie clips because they truly are kind and caring people.
Thankfully, once again, the WPD has offered to help protect me and will be here to es**rt her through the house that day as well to complete the move-out checklist to ensure no false claims are made for any damages against me which there are none. We truly are blessed to have the best local police force right here in our small but large giving hometown community of Washington, Missouri.
With that said… I need to give out some more Special Thank You Shoutouts!! First and foremost, YOU ALL! Our followers came together to help me out in so many ways and I’m happy to announce that I have found that Dream House thanks to all your leads! I’m now officially a homeowner and can close out this nightmare saga of a story!
Next up, thank you to my Friends and Family. They have been here for me from Day 1 of this mess offering me temporary living to even the joys of my mama’s home-cooked meals once again. It’s brought back so many fond memories and I’m now closer than ever to you all. Y’all I dunno what makes things so different but even a grilled cheese samich tastes better than what I could have made. THANK YOU!
Finally, and this is a BIG ONE… I could NOT have done it without the help from two of my long time high school friends Tyler King - Realtor and Anthony Rott - Loan Officer. These guys seen how bad my situation really was and went to bat for me. From staying up late at night sometimes after midnight working deals and writing contracts to viewing several houses, to getting me the absolute best interest rate possible.
These two worked together as a team to close on my house in LESS than a month to get me out of my situation asap and as most of you probably know, making that happen is damn hard to do nowadays! So as a huge personal shoutout to the each of them!
First, if y’all are looking to buy or sell a house, do yourself a favor and just go checkout Tyler King. He’s a good dude and has been in the bizz a longtime now. He has a no BS approach and will shoot you straight about what he thinks personally. Not only about the dynamics of a home in relation to what your tailored needs, expectations and wants may be that not only meet them, but those that also exceed your demands in the price range your looking for.

Next, after you find that dream home go work with Anthony Rott. This guy was there every step of the way and monitored the interest rate ups and downs and was able to lock me in right at the low point seconds before the rate spiked again….literally that quick! Y’all know when dealing with moolah ever point matters and he made my lending process simple and easy without hassle that’s so prevalent in todays lending market. Thank you again Anthony!
So in the end, these two team worked long nights together and made it happen and deserve this level of shoutout because without them, I’d still be homeless. Checkout the photo below of us three. Notice the sunglasses all three of us are wearing?!?
They even wore there’s for me which is a trademark of myself 24/7 so I didn’t feel awkward due to an unhappy eye I have. The level of care and trust I have for these two not only personally but for business obligations as well are undeniably among the highest and that will be a wall photo to recognize my closing day when all the I’s were dotted and the T’s finally crossed.
