A lot to celebrate this week for attorney Lindsey Wilkes and 3 of her clients who were granted asylum. All 3 waited more than 5 years each, but finally they are safe and free. The successful week ended with her being sworn in to practice before the U.S. Federal District Court of Maryland, so we can bring more cases to hold the government accountable for its outrageous delays 🎉

We are so excited to celebrate the asylum grant for one of our awesome clients, a man from Ethiopia! Attorney Kaitlyn filed an expedite request for him, and they attended two interviews together, then Kaitlyn still had to file several congressional inquiries before finally getting a decision, but in the end it all worked out. Our client was patient and persevered even when things got really frustrating. We are jazzed to start work on reuniting him with his wife and child now!
