We were good at it before - but during COVID we solidified our expert-level status of helping people relocate here to DC from others areas. In some cases, we helped people buy places without being able to step foot inside the homes themselves. Not for everyone, but I'm lucky to have an amazing team that can make that happen on a very trustworthy level.

The information here is good for ANYONE looking to move from one location to another.

Feel free to comment below on any big tips you learned while buying a house in a completely different city!

In this week's episode, we explore some of the biggest regrets home buyers have after buying a home. While we don't like people regretting their decision to purchase a home, the reasons shared can be very helpful for any first-time homebuyer to make sure they do all of the right stuff on the front end to make sure the final decision they make is the best one.

In this video, we talk about the DC Homestead Deduction. It's a great way to save money each year on your property taxes if you are using the home as your primary residence.

Here's the equation to Figure Out DC Property Taxes: (Sales Price/100) * .85 = approximate yearly taxes for a DC home. You can divide by 12 to figure out the monthly payment.

In this video, we explore the current state of the DC market and talk in-depth about what we're seeing and why we're feeling like the market may be finally relaxing a little bit. Between buyer fatigue, mortgage applications being down and inventory picking up we feel like some opportunities might be available for buyers that have been harder to find in the past 12 months. For more updates on specific neighborhoods feel free to call me to discuss.

In this video, we explore what it's like to buy a home when you have one to sell. There are many pieces to consider from pricing strategies to loan type and overall timing. One thing I touch on in detail is whether it's best to sell your house and then buy a new home or if you should buy a home and then sell once you know where you are going. There are pluses and minuses to both. I even break down different financing options (Bridge Loans, Recasts, HELOCs, etc). I even breakdown my own strategy from when I recently bought and sold my own houses.

The Washington DC real estate market has been scorching hot for houses in 2021. Will we continue to see that or are we going to see a real estate market crash? The inventory remains low for single-family homes, but the inventory for condos seems to be growing. Will the vaccines impact the housing market - we think so. Whenever you are looking to buy a home in Washington, DC it's crucial to know what the market is like. Feel free to call me with any questions you may have.
