Charley is a leading advocate for victims of medical negligence and personal injury, with a particular focus on dental malpractice. He represents clients in complex cases involving serious dental injuries, delayed diagnoses, and life-changing medical harm.

Beyond his advocacy for clients, Charley is also a respected educator in the legal community, regularly teaching attorneys about advanced courtroom technology and trial strategy.

Please join us in welcoming ๐’๐š๐ฆ ๐“๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐›๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ as the new Legislative Director for the DC Trial Lawyers Association.

Although she is just beginning in the role, Sam has already jumped right in โ€” attending DCTLA events, connecting with members, and engaging in advocacy efforts across the DC community.

Sam is a nonprofit executive, policy strategist, and traffic-safety advocate with a strong record of advocacy and coalition-building. After surviving a devastating crash in 2012 that left her with lifelong injuries, she became a leading voice for victims of traffic violence and roadway safety reform.

She has been active with organizations including DC Families for Safe Streets and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, helping advance efforts to modernize DCโ€™s auto-insurance laws and improve roadway safety for everyone in our community.

This , weโ€™re proud to highlight DCTLA member Deb Golden, founder of the Law Office of Deborah M. Golden.

With more than two decades of experience, Deb has dedicated her career to advocating for incarcerated individuals and advancing government accountability through prisoner rights and Freedom of Information Act litigation. From leading the DC Prisonersโ€™ Project at the Washington Lawyersโ€™ Committee to her work with the Human Rights Defense Center, her impact has been both local and national.

She continues that work today through her practice and as a board member of The Second Look Project, while also sharing her expertise as a former adjunct professor at Georgetown Law and the University of Virginia.

Spent the day at the DC Bar with leaders from voluntary bar associations across the city for a full day of discussion, learning, and idea-sharing.

These gatherings are always a great reminder of how much work happens behind the scenes to support lawyers, strengthen professional organizations, and make sure our legal community in DC stays engaged, informed, and connected.

We covered everything from member programming and CLE to outreach, collaboration, and how our different bar groups can work together more effectively.

The day wrapped up with an evening reception with DC Bar members โ€” a great opportunity to continue the conversations and build relationships across organizations.
