As National School Breakfast Week comes to an end, we're sending out a big shoutout to our incredible school leads! Their teams work tirelessly in our 30 schools across DC to ensure every student gets delicious and nutritious meals each day. We're immensely grateful for their dedication and couldn't do it without them!

In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re highlighting three of the researchers at Kennedy Krieger who are on the cutting edge of science.

Dr. Erika Augustine, Associate Chief Science Officer and Director of the Clinical Trials Unit, is leading research efforts to better understand and treat rare neurological diseases in children. Her work not only offers hope to families, but also opens new avenues for therapeutic interventions.

Dr. Amy Bastian, Chief Science Officer and Director of the Center for Movement Studies, oversees research studies that better our understanding of motor learning and recovery. Her research is paving the way for new treatments that enhance the rehabilitation process for individuals with neurological disorders.

Dr. Ericka Wodka, Clinical Director of the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSI™), researches a broad range of topics including cognitive and behavioral aspects of neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically related to brain behavior relationships involving attention and language.

Please join us in recognizing these women, and all of our female staff members, for their contributions to the Kennedy Krieger community and beyond.
