Definitely the most touching honor I have received….

Law school legacy: Lisa Dunner (J.D. ‘95), daughter of “giant among U.S. patent bar practitioners” and previous law school IP Advisory Board Chair, the late Donald “Don” Dunner, will be honored with the Don Dunner Leadership Award at the 67th annual Intellectual Property, Information, and Privacy Law conference this fall.

Lisa has been recognized as one of the world’s “Top 250 Women in IP,” one of the world’s top 1000 trademark attorneys and an IP Star.

For 21 years, Lisa ran her own certified women-only trademark and copyright firm, Dunner Law PLLC, before merging with a Virginia patent firm.

Big News for Dunner Law!

On June 3rd, 21 years ago, I launched Dunner Law PLLC. It has been one of the best and most rewarding moves for me. Now, it’s time for our next chapter, as our firm will be merging on June 2nd with Raphael Bellum PLLC, a patent firm located in VA. The predecessor firm to RB was founded by a longtime friend and colleague of mine, Jeff Lindeman, a former Finnegan attorney. Aaron Raphael and Stephen Bellum, also with Finnegan roots, succeeded Jeff, and they are really terrific guys. Since Dunner Law has grown significantly since its inception, RB will help us take things to the next best level.

It’s bittersweet for me, but nice to have the Finnegan connection (to my Dad), and I will no longer be infringing his brand!
