According to the report, the EEOC ignored calls from Congress to allow public review of controversial guidance prior to its adoption. The report also discloses how the Office of General Counsel failed to issue its standard annual report, how the EEOC violates the Freedom of Information Act, and how the EEOC fails at its objective of protecting employees from workplace discrimination.

EEOC's Director Carlton Hadden Says Enforcement Agency Has No Disciplinary Authority
Tanya Ward Jordan, President of the Coalition For Change, Inc. (C4C) asks Director Carlton Hadden, of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (Office of Federal Operations), to clarify its role about disciplining managers who are found guilty of discrimination. Director Hadden asserts the Office of Special Counsel and the offending agency can impose discipline. EEOC Director asserts the enforcement agency ""would like to have the authority to discipline"; however it can only asks discriminating agencies to "consider" disciplining officials who engage in proven unlawful acts. A Freedom of Information Act done by the C4C revealed the EEOC was negligent in making referrals for disciplinary action to the Office of Special Counsel. See you tube with Director Hadden

The Coalition For Change, Inc. (C4C) applauds the passing of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021 into law. Notably, H.R. 6395 became law on January 1, 2021, and includes the EEO reforms, which the C4C recommended and the late Representative Cummings introduced to address federal workplace discrimination.
